You should check the line bore and also replace the balancer.

Hi guys, I have a couple of questions about converting a C15 to a C16 or even a C18. Are there any hard parts that need changed other than rods and pistons, like cam, head, etc??? Will a stock radiator support cooling it? What kind of HP/torque will be produced? Thanks

PDI's harmonic damper is a Vibratech Damper. These are the best money can buy and cheaper than replacing it with a stocker. If interested I can get you a price on it, just Pm me.

Nothing is ever easy...:biggrin_25510:. I suppose the C18 stroke would slow rpm's down, as you said. But seems like a 5.4-5.5 bore would allow for better liners? I would think the combination would make a real torque monster?...
Thanks again for the info Far Call..........

To go from a C15 to C16 you change crank, rods, pistons, turbo and ECM flash file, everthing else is the same (for a stock 600hp C16).
To convert a C15 to C18 is a little more complicated, same as above plus cam and injectors, if you add twin turbos you can have up to 950hp with factory hardware/software.

    black_dog106 Thanks this.

hahahah Definably different part numbers and slightly different crown deign but all made by Mahle.
The later Signature engines are quite strong compared to earlier hand grenades but I just cant get my head around their design and from a mechanical point of view i would take a Cat anyday and make it sing.

    Signatures?

their signature move is to put a rod out the block...

Im afraid to even run mine at the factory 620hp.. it sits at 580.

    I want a Kitty again ######
