Yes the do. The transportation coordinator I work with at one of my accounts spent 3-years at CHR. They could see performance and rates for as long as you have hauled for them.

I think if someone is going to go out and get their own authority and truck/trailer and try to be a billy big rigger....they will FAIL!!! If you dont know how to negotiate then why are you expecting to make money? You think they are just going to hand it over to you?? Go back to being a compny driver if you dont have the proper business skills to be out here on your own. Its not really rocket science, some just expect to be served on a silver platter though...

I hope they were getting at least $5 a mile. They are in business to make money, and they wouldn't be doing it for long if they weren't. So why whine about somebody else making money when that's the name of the game? Its all about negotiating the rate.

And so what if it didnt go coast to coast? So what????

I have no problem with Ch Robinson. Matter of fact I don't mind doing business with them at all. They are one of very few companies that always gets me paid in 7 days and NOT 60. No factor BS needed!

Just turn it down if it doesnt meet your rate standards, I get what your saying but when you turn it down you are setting your rate. "I just cant haul it for that" you are letting the agent know that YOU dont work for cheap
and move on to the next load compadrre:biggrin_255:

You don't have to be rude when you turn down a load, either. Good manners and courtesy go a long way with most people.
