I have been with the CR England for 2 months and I've had a great time? if you come to the school and put your mind to it you will succeed. the people who are on your posting negative those are the ones we got to the school and slAcked off and failed and then they blame the school for it

I have never worked for CRE. I go out and read blogs on several different companies. It seems to me that the same complaints are with all large companies - miles and hometime! The bottom line is: you get out of it what you put into it! Just because one company doesn't suit a driver doesn't mean it's a bad company. Don't go home every 2 weeks then complain about poor paychecks. I worked for a couple different large companies, stayed out at least 4 weeks at a time and was pleased with my pay. Don't get me wrong, I had some bad weeks, but isn't that Trucking 101? Drive safe everyone!

They push leases on inexperienced people. This of course leads to problems. However, all the lease drivers I talked with who were doing poorly were immature and careless people who could not operate a calculator or read a map. There is enough up-front information to tell if this path is over one's head. But I still meet students who plan to lease and drive solo and have no idea how many mile it takes to pay the bills.

I've done 6 months so far with CRE. As I was getting my free schooling, free hotel with free breakfast and then getting paid to do nothing in my free hotel during the waiting periods; I realized there would be some short-term dues to pay. The complainers are here are mostly dumb cry-babies.

Well, I have a Bachelor degree, and one year of post-graduate studies, managed a college's foreign langauge department overseas, travelled to other countries on college business, hired teachers and met with hundreds of foreign dignitaries-but am most happy and proud being a trucker. Driving and 18 is probably the next closest thing to flying an airplane and what is cheap about that? I make more than most college professors now. If you look at a trucker's position, it includes planning, calculating numbers and hours, many decisions every day, social skills, knowlege of loading and the entire US road system, reading maps, time management and so on. Then look at the background check, drug test, skill test and physicals. Point being, it is not a 'cheap' job. I dress each day in leather shoes, a collared shirt and black dress jeans with socks and clean shaven. I am proud of my job, presnt myself professionally and hope that most of you other truckers are the same. Feel good about yourself and about being a trucker. Without us America stops.

I just had an engineer type that was all uppity with me about how he had to work with and get a driver their paperwork so that I could take his product to Seattle.

All I could think was, I am a business owner first and a driver secondary. I am doing what I love to do and you have to come to this cubbie every day and sit behind a closed door.

Really...

And here you are relegated to doing that of a shipping clerk.

Ok its like this. I recently attended CR England training in Cedar Hill Texas. At first everything was ok, I took the physical and passed the physical. For those of you wondering drug testing went like this, I only had to do a urine test the first day but several other people had to do a urine test the first day, a hair test the second day, and a urine test the fourth day. Also if you go to CR England make sure they change gloves after each test. They did not do so from the test infront of me to the test after me. I was given my medical card and taken to dps and got my texas cdl permit. Went to the backing range excelled at it. Monday I was called into the office handed a phone the MRO told me that i tested positive for cocaine. I was told that I had untill the next day to get out of their hotel and find my own way back home. The only problem with this is that I have been drug previous jobs for 5 years. I just submitted to a random test before i left and passed it. I also had a yearly physical done at my dr back home on friday and received the results in his office. If there were any kind of illegal drugs in my system they would have been found then. When I received the notice of the positive drug test I asked for a retest of the split sample. I was told to send them $180.00 and they would do the re-test, to be specific a re test of the same sample. I left the school and via cab to a collection facility gave a sample paid for it out of pocket. I continuted to call the MRO and CRE England and demanded they retest the sample. They still told me $180.00. The test that i paid for myself only costed $35.00 and it was to a DOT certified lab. That almost $150.00 difference. I did my home work and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration states that a company cannot delay the retest of the split sample due to your inability to pay or refusal to pay. I had the money to pay I but would not pay it out of principal because they were in direct violation of federal law and they were gouging on the price. I told them they were in violation of Federal law they told me to send them the money and they would retest it. I check out of their motel bought a bus ticket from Waxahachie Texas to Wilmington NC which costed $250.00. On the way back home I called the MRO and CR england 30 times and kept getting the same response. Finally I was fed up with them because I know i do not use illegal drugs. I called Bill Morgan with the Federal Motor Carrier Administration in DC as well as US Representative Mike McIntyre. I also contacted my Dr. He did not understand it because he has been my physician for the past 7 years and he know i have never shown any signs of drug use of tested positive on any test. He reviewed all procedure that I have had and all medications I had be prescribed over the past 6 month and the only explination that he could find was that depending on the cut off levels amoxicillin which he prescribed for me after i had two teeth pulled while in Honduras may have created a false positive on the urine test. He sent documentation of this to the MRO which she simply ignored. After Speaking with Bill Morgan and Mike McIntyre's office i called back and was told that I needed to pay them the money or quit calling, she even went as far as to say borrow it if you have to. I told here that i had the money but refused to pay and that she needed to contact Mike McIntyre and Bill Morgan. Her attitude changed and she told me to call Ernine Mabius in Salt Lake City and he would authorize the re test. I did and he authorized the re test but also told me that my results would not change. I asked him about doing a hair folical test because that is more accurate. He said that he couldn't look at the results of it to see if i could stay in school even if I paid for it myself out of pocket; But he can look at the results piss test where the sample had been sitting for over a week that makes good since, being as A hair folical test goes back further that urine. Anyway I got the results from my test back which were negative. Ernie Called me and told me the results were the same. Had the actuall test result faxed to me and reviewed by my dr and his nurse. They told me that the resultes were not 100% positive that the control can back positive and the test negative on both samples. So I was still disqualified from the program and that the positive would go on my dac report and that I would probably never work in the trucking industry. Because it would stay on my dac for 5-10 years which is false according to dac drug and alcohol stay on for 3 years. But my question is how can CR England report to DAC that I failed a drug test which the results seem to me to be inconclusive and in question, not to mention when the violated my rights and only wanted to appear to be doing the legal thing when I contacted Bill Morgan and Mike McIntyre. Also How can they report the failed drug test on my DAC when I never actually worked for them. My hire date was May 31, and I was sent home on May 21st. How can they report it on my dac when i didn't get my cdl's through them and still don't have my cdl's. But this is the kicker, after looking throught all of the paperwork i received from the if you get disqualified for any reason they collect the price of tuition from the texas work force comisison as well as the federal government that comes to $5,000 total if they disqualify you. then you have to do SAP with their company that cost you $400.00 If you research their SAP company you will find out that they own it. They own it as well as the school you attend, as well as the finance company that finances tuition, and the company that leases the trucks. So needles to say that because I did not check the facts about about a ######## company that is owned by gutless cold hearted ####### ### mormons, it will be nearly impossible for me to find another CDL job. No other school will touch me because they reported that failed test to DAC and most if not all major companies will not hire me because of the dac entry. So basicaly because they are money hungry my career in trucking is over before it got started. If you went to CR England and you made it through more power to you just remember England Stand for Every New Guy Last Atleast Ninty Days. but do the math there is no way they could even attempt to hire every person that comes through the doors of their schools the would have to by over 15,000 trucks a year. I think CR England is scum ### bottom feeder company and they can kiss my ### if you have had a similar experience let the original poster know that he is making a mistake with CR England
