lol, Fort Wayne isn't that dangerous. If you walk North on Coliseum its not a bad area, south of that is. East takes you to New Haven and West will take you downtown. Welcome to my city!

Fort Wayne has some bad places, but it's not like walking around Gary, IN, or the south side of Chicago. I'm not sure where C1 is in FW, though, I don't go to the city too much, since Defiance, OH is closer to me and has most of what I need.

Fort Wayne, well this part I am in now is not that bad, but every place in American has it's good and bad places. The hotel is located on the Northwest side and the school is on the Northeast side. The "ghetto" is on the southside and I will let you all know how that goes on my way to church in about 20 mins.

Today started out with the Indiana DMV coming in to administer the permit test. Before we took the test we reviewed all the material. Glad to say that out of 17 in our class 8 did not pass the test. Pretty good I might say. What tripped up a lot of people were some of the answers on the tests.

I am happy to report that I passed all sections of my CDL permit and IN ops test!!!!!:biggrin_25514:

After lunch we talked about the pre-trip inspection and the importance of log books. If you are going to drive trucks you need to know this skill. I see all over this forum that there are companies that have electronic logs and that's cool, but make sure we learn the paper way as well. Our results came back in the middle of this lecture and our attention spans went to crap, but we got it together to finish out the day.

Well about to call it night off to church and back to the hotel to study pre-trip. Update you all tomorrow on how the range goes and the DMV.

Today was a pretty chill day, went in this morning and finish talking about log books and then trip planning. Later that afternoon we went to the DMV as the range was closed for due to weather. Make sure you are using the egears because it helps with the test and if you already know stuff about air brakes and combo vehicles.
