Yeah I think those numbers are way too low. That spec of .001 to .006 seems awful wide. Think most say you need to be closer to the high side to be safe. If they are even enough you could probably buy some time with the thinner spacer plate. Might buy you a few years.
All just my very unprofessional opinion. Shade tree at best

i put my accert in a 2013 western star. I did it right outside in my dooryard. I basically gutted the 05 star and swapped it over to the 13. I tied everything up and shortened harnesses wherever i could. it looks neat and tidey. I was quoted 9 grand for a harness and the local dealr said i would be into 50 grand. The most i spent is 250 or so zip ties and some miscelaneous bolts and paint. I would say all total less than 1500 bucks in it. But i had a complete donor truck for the swap
