In California, you are exempt from the anti-idling law if you have the sticker. In Sacramento, you may not operate a reefer unit within 100' of a residential area or school unless you are loading / unloading.

You may also idle to 'prevent a health or safety emergency'. In Sacramento, you may idle for hours of service compliance at a truck/rest stop.

I shut it down for the night, but idled when I got up to make a pot of coffee.
$300 ticket for idling 8 minutes. Yep, the CARB prick timed me and wrote the start and stop times on the ticket.
It does happen, and it happened to me!
First time I have got one, it was at the Pilot in Hesperia.

i cant wait for a cop to try and give me a ticket for idleing, im REALLY good with arts and crafts i'll show the officer how to make Confettii! Anti-Idle laws are a bunch of BS, and any officer that enforces them is a prick.

Works for me! I despise going out there. They seem to think the country should do everything they do. We dont play that game down here in Bama
