    A smart lease operator takes that deal. $4 per mile short haul pay, $35 an hour detention pay, a $100 spiff and a follow on sweetheart load from the planner as an enticement to do them a favor.

    actually they really organized, just the loaders/unloaders are lazy, they prioritize their own trailers first and rather youse your trailer as storage until contents are needed to fill other trailers.

    combination of all that is why most outside trailers get the shaft.
