I would say the company needs to get the load switched, thats not a drivers problem.

    Guys
Almost all trucks in the Eurozone are Cab Overs.
The ones I have driven over there are smooth, easy to drive and perform well against anything I have been behind in conventionals.
Try a V8 Scania or 600 odd HP Mercedes Actros some time and appreciate the difference with tiptronic transmission.

I drove one cabover, and I had names for that thing that a Lady would NOT use! Grandma would have washed my mouth out with soap if she'd heard!

Yep. Nothing like the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway a.k.a. I-278 in New York, to find a weak chain on a piece of machinery.

You already quit on driving. You can't quit twice!. Wow you were so against truking you actually got rid of your cdl?

I have been seeing more and more cab overs on the road. AT first I was thinking it was just because I was looking for them but I am convinced now that there is more being made road worthy again. And some real nice ones too. I think it has to do with the cost of them is nothing. You can get a decent one for like $8k and get to work. can't beat that

    Just spotted this COE topic.
Wow does this bring back some memories.
Had a new 1976 Mack Bicentennial COE w/super ten.
What a great truck that was.
Rode great for a COE, comfy inside, quiet inside too.
I enjoyed it in the city.
Never bothered me to be in hiway or construction traffic with it.
    Climbing in was no problem.

I figure I'm different than most.

I find I'm equally comfortable in either a decent COE or a conventional. Doesn't much matter to me what tranny it has either. I get along fine with all the typical OTR trannies.

I still like cabovers, wish there were more of them out there. Cabovers are a lot like trucking companies, most of the people complaining have never been in one. Most people who complain about trucking companies have never worked for them or tried to work there and refused. Cabovers are the best thing in the world for some venues of this industry.
