I had to highlight these as the choicest points! ROFLMAO!

Can't forget if you stowed your cheater bar (or whatever flatbedders call it) in the cab by accident, and then had to jack the cab-Crash!!! The sound of breaking glass!

The point about teaming, maybe it is worse in a COE, but what you described sounds like riding with my last [and only] co-driver!

ANd ######, ain't that pretty much what your average pete driver can look like- at least to a scared noob. You did forget that Bubba is either holding aforementioned cheater bar, or got a .45 under the pillow! Wither way you #### up his truck, and he's gonna #### you up!

Now-a-daze, the .45 isn't as popular as it once was.
Today's super trucker seems to prefer a 9mm (Craftsman, no doubt) Open end or box.
It doesn't really matter as long as the pill is put in the right place. :biggrin_25525:

BTW, might your first name be "Harvey"?
If so, ........... I have PERSONALLY consumed MANY of your adult beverages.

    While OFF-DUTY, of course.
    UMmmmmmmmmm!
    Tasty.
    I'll have another, barkeep!
    And while you're at it
    ROUNDS FOR THE HOUSE !!
    Belly Up, Boyz.
Well, at least get as close to the bar as you're belly will letcha. :biggrin_25519: :smt030:drunken::occasion5::laughing-guffaw::laughing-guffaw::laughing-guffaw:

    ###### aftershock, if I somehow end up in your neck of the woods, I'd definitely have to enjoy a few adult beverages with you! And no, my first name isn't harvey; I got my handle from my RC car racing days, where my driving style could best be described as 'Yes, I'd like to have one.'

If you're ever in my neck of the woods,........ bring those RC's.
    T-Rex rules.
    Nitro burning Hot-Wheels.

A woman who co-owns the local hobby shop has a 1/18 scale nitro car that will exceed 65 mph, she claims. Said it goes great straight ahead, but it doesn't handle the turns very well.
I can well imagine THAT! :yes2557:

    Small world, no?

very small indeed! The next RC vehicle I will get will either be an HPI 5B buggy, or an FG 1/6 scale monster truck- just need to save a lot of cash!
Well, I should stop hijacking this thread- take care!

Cabovers, good tractor?Don't know.I owned two in the early to mid 1980's.Length laws prevented us from running a long wheel based tractor. There were a few conventionals but very short in wheelbase, small sleeper and pretty much the same ride as a cabover.Westcoast tractors didn't have this law but were limited to west of the Mississippi river for hauling.Once the laws changed cab overs started becoming few and far.I won't go back to one, your body can only take so much abuse.

I drove a 1977 International Transtar for four years and I loved that truck. It really is a shame that COE's are no longer the norm.

BTW, I too own multiple RC vehicles, planes mostly!

I just checked out the DAF website, turns out they were owned by PACCAR! So they were Kenworth's and Peterbilt's little brother...

Their trucks look like some kind of Transformer robots to me... :biggrin_2554:

There's a guy pulling a hopper bottom dump wagon with an old stretched Petermobile coe up and down IL rt. 45 everyonce in a great while that is awesome looking....clean old school looking ride,a zillion lights,4 horns ,yadda yadda. But I think I'd prefer to look at it than own one unless I was running tight holes local all the time.
