once you have your internet set up try nfl game rewind. if you pick NO only, it's $29.99 for the season, you can pick condensed version to cut the game to 30 minutes to keep your data usage down and all you miss is the commercials, not any of the plays. sunday games are available after the sunday night game, monday night 24 hours later.

I have had sat tv in my truck for about 15 years now. (the first couple with dish and now about 12-13 with directv). I get the baseball and hockey packages every season and love it. I mount the dish on my mirror and just run the cable into the window and good to go. It only costs about $7 a month for the extra receiver (i have it at home as well). The best part is I can just close the curtains and watch what I want to watch, no hanging out in the drivers lounge listening to trucker stories (and the endless whining about this or that) or having to watch crap I have no interest it. It even makes sitting when one gets snowed in for a couple days tolerable. The $100 (or so) I spend every month on tv makes life out on the road much more comfortable.

You can get a vuecube, I think that's what its called anyway. A friend of mine uses it a lot. Is a portable satellite system. Its like 800 bucks or so. They sell them at the Iowa 80, and the Petro in Oak Grove, Mo among other places. He uses dish network at home, so dish just charges him an additional 10 bucks, or so, a month for using a 2nd receiver. Kinda spendy to buy, but if you already use dish at home, it isn't too bad each month. You could still use it if you don't have dish network at home, it would just be more a month. He has a pole on his headache rack he mounts it to while using it. Takes it down while driving. He said he paid too much to take a chance damaging it by leaving it up while moving.

I could see this being bought by a student and thinking it could be put on a company truck which is what this poster is looking for.

My friend uses his on a company truck. I don't know if he is supposed to according to their company policies or not. But he does use it. I'd just ask the company what they'd allow. Many wouldn't have an issue if you don't mount it permanently or drill holes in the cab to mount it.

I would imagine that he has been driving for a bit longer.

Not something I would expect a student to be wanting especially since he will be on a trainers truck, all just for football.

Amen to that.. that's all I'm trying to do is make life on the road more comfortable.. think I'm look into the dish, seen a few guys where I'm parked at with them. Do you have to have dish at home to get it on the truck?
