Jesus, many complain that the shifter in a truck is too tiring, now you want them to take an extra step just to get in a truck. lol
I honestly wouldn't mind a flat floor or an aerodine, if it was specced right at all.

Never had a bed as big as a flat floor cabover,
Never had as much room as a flat floor cabover,
You couldn't reach over to the passenger
Seat, that's how wide it was.

    Having said that,
I'll take a flat floor cabover, over any type
    Of flat top truck.
There 10'times worse and whole lot of
    Drivers still humping those dinosaurs
    Down the road.

I miss the Ol’ Argossy. Pondered getting one again, but my Volvo does spoil me. Just don’t tell her....

    HAHAHAHAHA... I'm loving this.
    Great question.
They don't know how easy they've got it.

WOW.. just realized this post is 8 years old.
    I haven't been in a cabover since probably 95.. maybe 94

My last revenue haul from Fayetteville (loaded Des Moines) to Little Rock (Transfer to another driver to go take it to Jersey east) was in a '83 cabover. I spent three weeks in it. Other than a bad spring hanger and a leaking pump it did pretty good for a steel suspension truck in 2001.

My problem is I take cars out. Now that I know the root of that problem it's less of a problem.

If you paid me a salary of flat 2000 weekly and I took home 1500 roughly or a little less I'll do a cabover. Even a COE Commander. The equipment does not bother me as much as the pay does. Ive done either conventional or Cabover, it really has some differences but in the end the load has to be there and so it will.

With that said, I DO NOT GO OUT OF MY WAY to get into a Cabover. it's not for me. Even the big 700 horse and up Euroclouds. 300 miles of bad concrete with bridges that beat you to death is not worth it at my age. Im really tough, I have a tried and true tolerance for pain but that scenario makes me wipe a tear knowing it will be sore. (Understatement)

The new drivers would not know what they are getting into. It's best they never learn.

I for one love my big house in the back of the tractor. Commute two steps to the office seat.
