This is the last cabover I drove about 1992. I could turn this truck around in a phone booth with that setback axle. COE was superior when running in poor visibility as you were well above the headlights. Ideal for our long winters. JMHO![]()

Funny thing is, only in Oregon do you still see newer cabovers (due to length restrictions with triples)
Stupid Oregon. -
The beds where huge.
I don't think half the drivers out here now could
Even climb in and out of one. -

Ok I was driving a 1981 Kenworth cabover otr up to 2009 before I sold it. I was pulling flatbed making 2 to sometimes three turns a week from Chicago to south Carolina or Georgia. I was offered stupid money for it and let it go. To this day I miss that truck and wish I never sold it. It rode beautifully I was constantly running 700+ mile days back to back never was sore. My Kenworth w900l rides horribly compared. Now my cabover rode on eight bag rear suspension, Had the air ride cab mate on the cab, the best up grade was the air ride front axle. Put the truck on all air and she will ride like a cloud.
Last Day with her waiting on her new owner -
Ya remember when Ford brought out them old CL 9000's with the air ride cab? They never worked right, either left or right air bag messed up with you leaning one way or the other headin' on down the road.. Lol
x1Heavy Thanks this.
