The biggest problem with volvos have been interior space, that raked back windshield ate up alot of it, the xxl is nice I'd love one but a new fh is almost ready for road, a raked windshield os a no no cos of the short cabs your standing room is between the seats

Yup and it's got a Detroit diesel, so they can easily do it there too!

Yeah, but in the case of a bigger sleeper the raked back windshield is no problem. Actually I think that it improves the aerodynamics by a little.

A little but a rounded windscreen is just as efficient

If the new FH is ready and it's with a vertical straight up windshield, I think that it would be awesome if Volvo would offer the old FH cab with the raked back windshield and a bigger sleeper here in the US as a COE alternative to the VN

new actros vs US truck is like Boeing 737 Clsassic vs Airbus 320)))

at first glance so many electronic systems, really expencive and complicated truck, and it is not all, if you try to use MP4 in the USA no mechanic can solve any electronic problem. Volvo version-2 vs MP4 is simple like a stone hummer. Thats why it is not possible to use MP4 in distant areas, only not far from Mercedes workshops.

US trucks are generally somple like AK-47.

IMO, I want simple truck, becouse I think about maintanance and repare works. As I can see here, in Ukraine new (reasy for new emissions) trucks, that are really reliable and easy to fix are 9800i and Axor in simplest version.

Usually Actros's and Volvos are beloved by drivers, but owners hate to spend more money for repare works and for parts.

for me very interesting is what you was talking about 20000lbs on front axle while drives are also 20k with this long wheelbase this put lot of strain on chassis to reach 20k on front ,

very interesting things about your heavy haulage trailers

here no such complicated laws some countries calculate how much pressure you give on road and this require some more distance between first and last axle but there is no additional steel bridges or similar

i noticed your trailers for heavy haulage are very expensive for what you get

here for 375000$ (300 000€) you get trailer with 2+bed+4 or 2+bed+5 , so 6-7 lines with 12t legal weight capacity extendable , hydraulically adjusted neck , all axles( lines) are with swing axles so there is no axle actually , all wheels steer(up to 65degrees) , also this include independent suspension about 2ft adjusting height ......so there is big compensation height between wheels while offroad or have some obstacle have recess for excavator boom

they are light manoeuvrable and short

2+4 have payload of 71,700kg and dead weight of 24,300kg

2+5 have payload of 81,750kg and dead weight of 26,250kg

4+5 have payload of 99,630kg and dead weight of 32,370kg

also you will find lots of different attachments so can drive windmill elements , construction machinery , boilers ....

you guys waste lot of weight on additional beams and i wonder about stability if they are mounted so high on dollies and similar
