most of eu tractors have 1drive axle even 3 axle tractors
there is no real need for 6x4 except in forest construction and sometimes in heavy haluge

reason why they are 2axle is this

3axle trailers have lot shorter wheelbase and better maneuverability and this also reduce load on 5th wheel

but those trucks have stronger axles chassis steel cab .....for example they have similar or just little weight than us 6x4 trucks

back until mid 1980s there were more 3axle trucks and 2 axle trailers than today but then they increase trailer length for 1m so today is almost impossible to use full size 2axle trailer and 3axle truck

Pablo it seems that man with container trailer always get too much load on 5th wheel

It is local grain mover. Container was converted.

Anyway to much load on rear axe.

I saw many road accidents with trucks and belive me, EU steel cabin is much stronger old US aluminium cabin.

But comparing conventional US truck with EU COE, in front collisions US truck is safer, but in roll over collisions EU COE is better.

not from this trucks but it is something like this

scania as brand is usually more oriented to driving position than space trucks like man tgx xxl or daf ssc
offers lot more space inside cab but this is enough it has standing height on engine tunnel of 7´ and 4"

and this is extendable bed note difference in width you can ajdust it in 7 inch

Usually European bunk is smaller US one, may be becouse they concider Europeans slim)) LOL

Bunk room is twice shorter then in average US conv. truck.

Well, to compare, Volvo FH bunk space is like in International 9600

but europeans used to find better way to use space

for example there is motis with bunk 40 inch wide second bunk slightly narrower, kitchen with huge refrigator with 3zones shower and toilet inside same cab

also there is plenty of different interior stiles in EU cabs like scania 4 has (when you raise lower bunk your seats can be moved to rear wall and then you get table from refrigator and thinks like this if you dont need passenger seat you just put it below bunk ......

also renault has similar thing on premium and magnum volvo had before on FH

also mercedes has something called single cab

what I love US trucks are sleepers.

But to heat US sleeper I need more powerfull auxially heaters, like AirTop 3500/5000. To heat EU cabin 2kWt is enought

That bunk would be a LUXURY compared to some of the old AMERICAN trucks.

F MODEL MACK Coes were small , 30" on a B model or R model was small
