what do you still do in ukraine?

when it is war you can do two things , join army to be able to smuggle rob and steal more, or left country , you have told me you have sister in australia you should take opportunity and left , you would probably lost everything in lugansk , even if it is intact -which is hardly possible, that now dont value anything

i think you will change your mind when it will be too late

use this situation to move in somewhere better place , i know it is hard to get in australia , maybe she can help you to find a way to get inside, since you can work with both kind of trucks and there is not many people who can work on euro trucks in australia this might be good thing for you

or maybe if you have some forum friends who could help you to get in N.A

here now almost 20years after war people have to leave country

last year 15000 left one of my cousins went to canada to drive i think his family will soon go as well , i am planing to leave in next year or two when my father went to retirement and sold , although he is not far from going to germany as well , i found him a job to drive mixer for up 2500€ this is not cleanest job but salary is good, but in meantime we get some work here so he did not went. he was going to talk about job in some smaller company that drives heavy haulage they mostly drive prefab concrete elements they have mostly setups pf 6x4 with 2/3axle dolly and 4/5axle nachlaufer , but he would not like to drive something on long routes and sleep in cab, he would like to drive if possible tipper in smaller company where you are not just number

I am very happy to found this picture...

our family friend, had this truck or other from same company with same color and same livery , this company does not exists anymore and i think it is most probably some smaller company so chances to be exact truck are even greater.....this guy had one more NG and 2 more SK.

when i was younger , i have considered this as most beautiful truck trailer combo , i dont know why, i was always fascinated by it,

it was 1987 MB NG1635 with v8 bi turbo, großraum cab, retarder , air condition, webasto, lot of serial equipmen and also he have vacuum cleaner fridge and coffe machine , .... 16speed automated EPS transmission ASR and other things available at that time,

it has 3side tipper from Kumlin fahrzeugbau ( they were most expensive bodybuilder in Germany)
trailer was also Kumlin from 1985, very long one 9.1 or 9.2m i dont remember anymore (standard are 8.2m), it is truck for grain and other light bulk loads as well as general cargo, he had adjustable drawbar on trailer, seems like here on photo it have Peitz kurzkupplung (hydraulic system that extend drawbar when truck take corners so this allows you to have greater load length within legal length but this system is not very reliable so probably that is why truck had just adjustable drawbar latter.

On some way it looked like it is not tipper, it was low build, very long and also this pallet case under trailer makes it look even more non-tipper
he sold it i think in 1997 or 1998

this guy had latter very hard times, his wife take him everything he had after divorce, at end he died last year in accident when he falls from 7th floor

when i have heard this, i was very very sad he was very good guy, i started to search for a Herpa model of SK2435 with GR cab he gave me for my birthday it was first SK from Herpa i had it was in 1992 , i searched everywhere dig on every piece of house (4floors) and could not find it , and about 2.5months ago acceidently found it , it is only Herpa model that survive not in good condition but i will fix it

Now when i have picture I have a plan to build this 1635 in memory of him , but i would have to build few of them before to get some skills

Really I love old cabovers. I used to drive MB like this. It was very cool truck in end of 80s. I got CDL in 90s and I was amazed with EPS transmission in this truck (electronically pneumatic shift).

All other rigs had manuals only, but MB intridused EPS! Later I started diagnosting and fixing of MB trucks and it was very good time for me, becouse this transmission had complicated wiring and it was not easy to find and fix problem.
