    daf was on its way to Paccar in Washington. maybe Paccar will americanise it and sell it as kenworth/peterbilt like k270

    I saw small K270. It is DAF LF and I was surprized it has 24V system, like EU version.

    @reefer101 what is that number on doors on actros? i dont see well but i guess it says 264 and what is 4th digit?

    It will be interesting to see what configuration they are testing. There really is no need for the heavy axles unless they are testing for oilfield or construction fields. OTR would be better with hypoid and regarding the steering axle I don't know if Mercedes do a light front axle.The trucks are also very heavy for NA.

    seems to me 2648.

    MB makes hypoid and hub reduction drive axles. in USA they sell as Detroit Axles with US lug puttert

    yes i was also surprised to see hub reduction on long haulage since 3.716 is fastest ratio , and gearbox come with 0.77 or 0.69 as double overdrive 16speed which i believe is not case with this one

    so it is strange to have such big axles on road truck

    IMG_0538.JPG don't remember the digits. I remember seeing that older actros on I 5 in Portland for the first time I thought I was helusinating. and that one is pulling 2 trailers one 48ft and 28ft I think

    yes i was thinking same , i have no idea are they 233 or 300 version but since 300 is more common on air suspension

    this weights 850lbs more than something that could be used on american roads

    can you take a look on first picture you post of this truck

    btw that is brand new model , from 2011
