yes, MAN - International
Scania and Cummins -
So any of them making a reliable motor that's not super expensive to fix yet?
-
I run a '06 Paccar MX and i like it fine.
Very cheap engine to maintain.
A friend off mine has has a '07 D13 Volvo and it is ok except for the issue with the injectorcups.
That can be expensive if you don't fix it right away but to be fair to Volvo, they did pay for most off the repair evendough it was to old for warranty. -
additional fixing price is related with emission equipent like DPF, DEF and other
Cat sdp Thanks this. -
Short answer is no.... They are getting better , but to keep one running in the middle of Africa. Or someplace where a dealer is 1000 kilometers away ..... No Way!

Pablo, honestly the SCR systems have caused few problems neither with the Volvo's,MAN's or Daf's.
But the first DPF trucks are only 1 1/2y old so those still have to prove themselves.
The only trucks with DPF and SCR that are doing very badly are the Scania V8's. -
be prepared, electric motors will be used soon, i'm sure

MB NG85 2636K 6x4, and MAN F9 30.361VFK 8x4

MAN F9 30.331 VFK 8x6,or maybe 33.331 i am good with their terminology ,MAN have strange solution for 8x6 , here 2nd axle is driven one , while all other manufacturers use 1st,
since 2nd axle always remains on ground while on heavy excavation 1st sometimes end up in air, this is good for traction, but wheelbase is too long . combined with small wheel cut ( i think 2nd axle have about 42degrees) maneuverability is very bad, also this long wheelbase require long tipper body (6.2m instead of 5.6m) together with high awd chassis, 3side tipper body makes this truck very unstable

Mercedes LK is not really a cabover, engine is half inside of cab and half outside, it was first truck of my father

fap 18 b , it was not our , but of husband of mother´s sister , fap is serbian based manufacturer they first start to assembly austrian saurer trucks in 1953, than they bought licence in 1962, they start to build models like this i think in 1965 , they use OM super orione cab ,18t, engine was licenced layland 204hp ,latter they had engine of 200hp licenced saurer , i think production was stopped in 1977 when they completely adopt mercedes range and technology
Cat sdp Thanks this.
