well, I do not lilke cabovers for many reasons. But, I can see COE design advanges on small yards, on urban operations, in mountans with narrow roads, so IMO, USA need cabovers, but not for all operations like in Europe now.

I agree, coe's will never be big in America but they do have a place there , deliveries, tight roads etc, I can see volvo launching the fh there for straight trucks and delivery trucks and maybe dump trucks

for urban operations I'd prefere FM with smaller cab, but much lower and better for frequent entrance.

I drove Cabinovers for years and hated them really, but now I look back with a degree of nostalgia. Here is a few pics of our last Cabinover, spent long days and nights in one just like this. ATT00001 (Small).jpg

By the way, there are European trucktors with ultra low cab with one step entrance, like Mercedes Econic, MAN TGA low entry and other.....

i am not sure how to call this one i mean engine behind cab?

but econic and tga/s low entry are expensive because of special cab made of aluminum there are cheaper options like volvo fe or scania low entry with normal cab but in different position of course they are not good as econic or man low entry but they are very cheap

and i have some thoughts about car carrier with such cab this will allows higher cab from inside , only maybe it would be unsafe because lack of chassis/engine in front part of cab
