Ptb,KW and Ftlr all had some fine cabovers and other than the fleet trucks had some big power Cummins KT's,Cat 1693's,Detroit 12V71's. Some rode a little rough, you sit right over the steer axle. My opinion Pete's rode the best due to the 4 bag rear suspension. As far as the heat thing,in the winter you could lean across the dog house and take a nap and be warm for quite a while. Had to run a really good winter front because it could get a little chilly at times. The Canucks had full winter fronts to keep the breezes out. There was a outfit in LA that was spraying the bottom of the cabs with foam insulation, really quieted them down and helped with heat and cold. I always liked the front vision, but like someone said you are the 1st to arrive at the scene of the accident. My biggest dislike laying down to put my pants on. As far as working on the motor or trans jack the cab up and everything in right there.

One great thing about CabOvers. You can get a red one and a pet chimpanzee and drive around and solve problems for people sorta like a one man A-team/trucker. Don't know how well that pays, though...
Sorry, just being stupid! -

Those 2 clowns painted a BRIGHT WIDE EYED picture of trucking to a lot of WANABEES who got a rude awakening when they got into trucking. -

TRUCKING and DUMB shows seemed to have more of an effect than the CAST AWAYS .
Flashy trucks , go anywhere they wanted always nice weather were a few things some thought trucking was all about.
Just look at ICE ROAD TRUCKERS and the jump in wanabee truck drivers who were all heading NORTH . -
