Gear 4 or High 1 low split is what it manages to pull in.

    R580's are a good tool!
A million is nothing to worry about on one of those.
I got a few good videos of the 620 I drive but I can't post them from my fone

Scania man, I have hauled 16 foot wide/ 17 foot tall loads in Los Angeles, Petrol in Phoenix, etc.... NOTHING is as scary as the 4 weeks I spent driving a car around your island. I have much respect for you. Cheers.

Ahh don't know wether to say thanks or what? but our roads are crap and drivers are mental! Car drivers completely uneducated! Speed limit may be only 50mph for trucks but you'll get away with 60 but 60 on our roads is mad, I agree but everybody drives like that here, great testing place for trucks lol, ( and roll cages )

On the plus side I hope you enjoyed the booze here, the expense of the place didn't upset you too much and if you call again maybe we can give you a taste of what we have to drive! when did you come here?

It was a compliment, I gripped the wheel so tight my hands hurt everyday. For those who have never been there, they put signs up in most counties showing the number of people killed on the roads. The numbers are staggering.

I was there in '07 and '09. LOVED it! I didnt do any of the tourist stuff (well I did do some drinking in Temple Bar).
I just rented a car and started driving, no reservations, no map, no plan. I talked to a Lorry driver in Howth for a while, looked around his machine. I watched a driver in Mullingar drive his trailer over a car. I drove behind an oversize caravan (we call them mobile homes) from the port in Rosslare, that was nice seeing someone do the same thing I do 6000 miles away. I didnt get a chance to talk to him (he was busy).
I talked to a driver at Caterpillar on Naas rd (west of M-50 ) about working there. He said construction was dried up, I would still love to do heavy haul in Dublin.
