    98989 , Is that not a Unimog ?

The TATA (Indian make) make a good small 4x4 truck.
I think it was copied from the older Unimog.
Very poor cab and finishing but very capable and reliable.

I have seen the unimog over here. They seem to be popular with the large ranches out west. I have even seen the ones with the loaders on the front.

Hi your friends the French have carryed your Cabovers into the new millenium!:yes2557:

Have a look at the Renault Magnum: http://www.renault-trucks.co.uk/magnum/home-magnum.html

It looks like an US, but its comfy and spacious.
It was the first Cabover with a flat floor.
The last modifikations brought seven feet inside height.

P.S. Renault Truck and Mack are now owened by Volvo Trucks.

The only advantage of a Z crane is it gives space for a higher cab.

A treelengt L cran with the same lifting power is lighter than an equal Z crane.
A Z crane hase becaues of its ability to fold very small a bad kinematic. Level it is strong, but if you start lifting to bring the logs over the bars it looses power.
That means practically you can install a L crane a size smaller, which is a lot lighter and cheaper.

you need twice as much time to enter inside and particular to get out comparing to normal truck

there is problems with dirty hand handles , too heavy , use too much fuel ,

i actually dont like flat floor makes entry too high and during winter/rain season dirty spread on all cab

also magnum cab is too heavy and swings too much and on our bad roads cab suspension dont last long

and it is renault ......least profitable truck on market

impossible to sale later , parts are unreasonable expensive and it is not quality ....if i have to pay parts so much i would chose volvo at least volvo is truck

also forget to say there is no external lockers for luggage except that joke in step i dont know is such problem to cut hole between handrails

interior looks nice but i hate too much levers around steering wheel it is joke

they waste too much space by raising cab so high

in case i look about cab size i would chose MAN or DAF which both have more practical cabs than magnum
