I knew a guy I hauled rail cans out of Green Bay with, and he had a stretched 352, about that long. He didn't last long in the rail biz,,,for obvious reasons. An old timer told me some words to live by,,,"Never step on your steer tire to get in your truck",,![]()

Thought I'd weigh in here too. This is mine. They make more sense for the combinations he run here in Western Australia as our laws are slightly different to the eastern states. Much easier climbing into one of these than a Kenworth, although Kenworth do a tilt out step on the K200s.
There's a few pictures of the Kenworth step on here.Kenworth DAF Hallam - K200
I've never used one though, so can't say what they're like...TheLoadOut, shooter19802003, 201 and 3 others Thank this. -

Those steps were a big selling point when the Argosy first came out. Heard of some problems in freezing weather.
The Argosy had been in the planning stage before cabovers had their sudden decline and when they hit the market in 1999, there wasn't a big rush to buy them. They did continue to make glider kits after production stopped in 2006. Still many applications where a cabover would make sense.TheLoadOut, Speed_Drums and shooter19802003 Thank this. -
Yup this one tugged at the heartstrings a bit. I applaud you my friend. Hope you keep us posted on your journey.shooter19802003 Thanks this.
