Just watched a YT vid on a scania and it seemed pretty nice. A definite step up from the kind of equipment I used in the 70s and 80.
Modern components, design and materials make it appear pretty sweet imho.
They do seem cookie cutter just like a cascadia or volvo though..
I can see them finding a niche east of the Mississippi where the country is tighter, but out in the wide open spaces I would prefer a wheelbase and not sitting above the front axle.
Nobody would chose to go back to an old style coe except the few that run the rebuilt customs.

Speed_Drums, bzinger, stacks and 2 others Thank this.

Doesn't look that different, still gotta climb five and a half foot up in the air. I'm getting to be about like my dad, the closer you can get that thing to the ground the better.

I would guess if they brought them out in the US market, they would offer some options......just like everyone else....I imagine. All I'm saying is don't discount them or compare them to the 20+ year old stuff. Like everything else in that time...they've gotten better. Plus, it's good to have options.

    Gatordude and Dennixx Thank this.

They might be better suited for short haul in the states but plenty of companies down under run road trains using euro cab overs

The classic diamond tuck interior is why I would want one.
