I used this example for simplicity.

After all, it was from Sturtevant WI to way up on the north side of Milwaukee. Not many road choices there.

I have never once been able to equal or beat the miles that dispatch has given me for any company I ever worked for.

I think the closest I ever came was within 15 miles or so but as others have said 10% over hub miles is about the averidge.

And I haven't heard of a company that pays hub miles in a very long time.

I do see one side of it for the employer though. Why pay hub miles to a driver who gets lost in an area and ends up adding 20-30 miles because he drove past his destination a half dozen times before he finally found it.

Or the driver who circles the parking lot intentionally to increase his mileage.

A buddy of mine gets paid hub miles with the company he drives for right now. It's a smaller company. None of the big ones will!
