I got shorted the other day too. But I was out sick monday and didn't get my envelope in until tuesday morning so that may have added to the confusion.

I agree. John seems to be the kind of driver that gets out there and gets it done and does it well. Work ethic like my grandfather! But i guess your area that you live in does play a role in weekly milage.

I know these drivers I mentioned personally, they all use their 70 hour clock for what it's designed for, driving and anything else related to making a paycheck every week. I also know that Steve did his job and did it well, he just had a bad run of luck with breakdowns and other things out of his control. I have had some bad weeks over the last few years, but it always worked out over the course of the year.

JB, do you think my location would work out OK with Calex? Lakeland/Winter Haven area.

Absolutely. As long as you have one year recent OTR experience and a clean MVR.

Have you told Louie enough already? NW Pa is not a regular freight area, but 43 days is a bit much.

Sitting at the Loves in Orangeburg SC taking my 10 hour break. I pooped out and called it an early night. I got unloaded in Tampa yesterday. Jason sent over my reload info as I was pulling into the T/A to scan my paperwork in. I had 2 p/u's, one in Winter Haven, the last one in Ft Pierce. I figured I would get both of them on then go home and leave out this morning for my Thursday 5am delivery in Carlisle Pa. Right. Didn't work out as I hoped.

I called my first p/u and was told the Oranges would be ready at 3pm. I got there and was backed right in. They put on 6 pallets and had to cut the order. After numerous phone calls I now was given 2 other p/u's for a total of 4. I left Winter Haven then went to Haines City for 2 p/u's. From there I drove 90 miles to Fellesmere just north of Vero Beach. I got there at 6pm and waited, and waited and waited some more. Finally at 11pm last night I was loaded, but they too had to cut the order. So now it's midnight and I've spent the whole day and half the night sitting in dust bowl conditions at every packing house I went to. All I wanted to do was get to the T/A in Vero, fuel and shower. They added on one last pick up in Ft. Pierce that I couldn't get until this morning. I fueled then couldn't find a parking spot so I drove down to the rest area in Ft. Pierce and was only 4 miles to my pick up this morning. What really fried my A/S/S was that I had to sleep 50 miles from my house in my truck instead in my bed with my wife. Oh well. I was done loading at 11am, scaled and rolling.

So I wind up with 5 pick ups instead of 2. I've never been to Giant Food Stores in Carlisle, but if it's anything like the main joint in Jessup God help me.

I hear ya JB. Last time I was up to the Giant in Carisle was 2 summers ago, 4th of July weekend with a load of chicken. 4hrs for a door and 3 and a half unload time. You are right Jessup is by far a whole lot worse. Good luck buddy

Well I'm impressed, and it takes a lot to impress me. In fact the last time I was impressed I wound up marrying her. I got to my delivery at Giant Foods in Carlisle at 4:45 this morning, got my door assignment at 5:15 and was empty with my oranges at 6:45. I pulled into the terminal at 9am and now am waiting for my truck inspection and new drive tires.
