Looks pretty cool, but I'll bet there is a bigger learning curve than with the old unit. I see speakers on that thing. Does it talk to you like a stand alone GPS does.

I never closed the curtains for the bunk. Buy a roll of flexible insulation, the foil bubble wrap stuff at Lowes/Home Depot and cut 3 pieces. Put 2 on your door windows and one in the windshield keeping them in place with small pieces of velcro around the edges then close the windshield curtain. This stuff will keep your truck cooler, help block noise and will keep the sun out.

Picture #3: 106,000 feet? You in a space shuttle? oh, I think I read it wrong;). Been several years since I ran out west, I miss the mountains but not in the winter. I usually just ran up 15 farther and crossed WY or stayed low on 40 then cut up through Liberal, KS or something rather than go through Eisenhower.

yes it talks just like a reg gps.. goes pretty much same ways my rand mcnally sends me... you can rearange the little short cut icons to your prefernce and it will show you a graph log .. they mounted it where the old unit was and it needs to be moved .. cant see the right side of my hood...

Both work for light but I found the truck stayed cooler with the insulation stuff although in most places this won't be a problem with the truck a/c going. I also put a piece under the bunk mattress to help keep the bunk cooler in summer and warmer in the winter. Of course if darkness is the only thing then a can of black spraypaint works. :).

Sitting in Santa Nella halfway through my reset. I got empty yesterday morning in Fernly, called Louie and was told to head here. He said I am loading tomorrow going back to Milton for Monday. I should be thankful I'm empty, I was the second truck to get unloaded yesterday. The first truck ripped off the door to the only dock for recieving on his way out. They couldn't use the door until they picked up the mess so they had to unload me at the shipping end of the building. I wonder how that phone call went from the driver to his boss.
