Wow! You sound like you're a riot to hang around with!

I want to party with you!

It's a bogus law and everyone knows it it's only there to generate revenue for the state. End of story.

I've never been bothered out in the desert doing that speed only one time in the actual LA area is when I got a ticket.

I never said I liked it, but I value my CDL and my business. All it takes is 1 cop who is pissed off cause he just found out his ole lady was cheating in him and, BAM! Ticket....and not a single thing you can do about except fight it in court and lose even more time and money.

But hey, that's your business. Just because you don't like something doesn't give you or anyone else the right to commit a breech of the law. They're are proper ways to go about changing something.

If 9th is 1500, 10th should be 1100 or just a touch above that. You shouldn't be lugging until about 600. Flat ground should be fine in 10th. I'd drop a gear when you hit an incline.

Anything below 1300 is lugging. 1200 is pushing it. 600 is idle speed and won't even think about idling in 10th gear.

I believe your transmission also has pump pressure. Running the engine that low is bad for the shaft bearings. Transmission tends to make some noises at low rpms when the bearings start going.

    Course, most will disagree.

I don't live in Cali, just visit there every week so I'll take my chances.

One speeding ticket every four or five years isn't going to break the bank or affect my insurance rates either.

It's pretty well understood that the C.H.P allow the trucks to run 62 mph in California.

In Oregon you can run 62 in a 55, and now that the speed limits have been raised on certain stretches off hwy, you can run 65 in a 60 and 70 in a 65.

Washington they let you run 65 mph in a 60 zone all day long.

In my short time OTR I had a simple philosophy.
Whenever possible, let someone else be the fastest vehicle.
