Read your permit.blairandgretchen, beastr123, Ddh77777 and 4 others Thank this.

Ok what if my permit said I can’t drive at night. What will the inspection station do? I would assume they don’t enforce what Chp does down the roadFlat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

Then don't drive at night.
Considering that all of the inbound ag stations have a scale right before or after them you'll definitely get caught since CHP is always there.Rugerfan, blairandgretchen, beastr123 and 4 others Thank this. -
First you want to know how to get fuel with your big unit now you want to know how to get through the inspection station?
Please tell... Which Clueless chicago company are you working for and just how cheap are you running for?Rugerfan, fromAtoZ, blairandgretchen and 11 others Thank this. -
You'll probably be fined an exorbitant amount of money since you will be dealing with the People's Republic Of California.
I hope your outfit wasn't the one I saw in Memphis attempting to fit a 14' 5" load under a 14' 1" overpass.singlescrewshaker, cke and Ddh77777 Thank this. -
I didn’t think the Ag check on 40 had a scale. I admit it’s been 5 or 6 years since I been out that way.
singlescrewshaker, cke, Oldman83 and 2 others Thank this. -
Don’t pay any attn to what these guys are saying. I would just run it and if they stop you, just say, do you know who I am? They will immediately tell you to proceed on!
And they will probably apologize and say sorry for holding you up sir!
Gearjammin' Penguin, singlescrewshaker, cke and 3 others Thank this. -
I have a CalTrans annual, your legal to drive at night long as your lit up on all 4 corners and flagged. You can only be up to 12 feet wide, and wider you’ll need an escort. BTW, you’ll need a California permit before you enter and read the restrictions. California has peak hours in the cities and width restrictions, like mention above, READ THE PERMIT.
blairandgretchen, beastr123, Flat Earth Trucker and 7 others Thank this. -
Find me an ag station that doesnt have a coop right after it... If ur on the interstates ur not gonna be able to find one..Atleast i cant think of any.. the inspection station doesnt care. Chp does. I dont think poking the chp bear is a good move considering they like to stick it up as far as they can when they get ahold of you.
