My fiance works for CRST van expedited..He was just told a week ago he would have a truck ready for him this week.. His fm just told him they cant lease to him now because they were told by crst branch lawyer they can not lease to California drivers any longer until a bill passes..the fm told my fiance theres nothing that they can do...it has to do with the state..Can a Owner Operator on here give me any insight on this..Are they trying to screw him out of the lease opt program? Should he look at other companies?

You will soon see this is a blessing that saved you from the worst screwing a man can do to himself !
Lease purchasing a truck to be a owner operator is like buying a mcdonald's to make minimum wage.
No company out there is there to make your dreams come true ! The reason they rent you truck is so you can pay for everything and they pocket the real profit !
But that is just my opion and we all know what they say about opions ! LOL
Good luck.Truck609, DrtyDiesel, lynndashia and 2 others Thank this. -

Buying a McDonald's to make minimum wage. Fantastic quote Marmon and that should be the "go to" quote for lease purchase scams.

it has to do with the ports of long beach and the clean trucks stuff the government gave grants to companys to buy these clean trucks and they in turn started a lease purchase program and one driver got upset and called the irs and said he wasnt an owner operator and got the ball rolling
