I stay disease free......I pray that I can line up inbound material for my customers every trip out.. Don't always happen. I cringe when I have to go to DAT... Its like a Party of "Nobody wants me" freight.
Today I got a call from them, it was a flatbed load picking up in French camp, CA going to San Antonio, TX, and he offered me 2000.00 on almost 1700 miles. (1.17 a miles) to which I said NO. He then called again and said....Ok I paid you 2200.00 and again I said NO, Then he called again and asked how much I would move it for...I said 2900.00 (1.70) He asked me why I wanted so much money!!! I told him that's what driver needs and I hung up.the phone. He then call one more time offering 2550.00 and said that would be the most he would do... Driver still empty in California as I write this now.
Here's what I use to do. All calls from TQL come from the same number. Something something 2600. If you have an ITS account click on their crappiest loads going to like Washington, DC and NYC. Nobody wants to go there. When you click on a load under ITS the broker gets notified you clicked on their load and they call you. My record to date was 9 calls in a row from TQL that I didn't answer. We should all get together and do this non stop.
This is what I did a few months ago and haven't heard from them since. It's well known to not waste time negotiating with these idiots because even if they finally agree to your rate, they'll drag their feet on the paper work until some chump comes along for less. I told them since their reputation is so bad I could not extend credit to them and, if they wanted I could give them my bank information and they could set themselves up to prepay my transport fees. This fool told me he couldn't do that and I haven't heard from them since. I think if you are reduced to dealing with these idiots, closing up shop might be a good decision. Hell, my credit girl told me if I ever had a problem with them I'd be on my own because she warned me not to deal with them. What does that tell you. If you stop feeding them, they will eventually shrivel up and die.
I do not know what a "credit girl" is but TQL has always had 5 star credit, the check always comes in 30 days- that being said they are still not worth dealing with IMHO
Maybe I should have said "collections girl" for those who need everything explained thoroughly. It's a person who happens to be a girl, who I call on when I have a collections issue. I'll take her word over any forum poster about credit complaints against TQL any day.
look Luwi I have badmouthed TQL for a lot of reasons and would never recommend them to anyone but a spade is a spade and TQL pays on time. now if you wish to name this collection company that has a bad review of TQL I'm all for learning more because I do not have current history it has been about 4 years since I had any dealings with them
