I've done 3 loads with them. One from Philly to Laredo that the previous carrier truck broke down, I tagged them for $5000 Another from El Paso to Carneys Point, I tagged them for $5500 and the last I did was from Philly to Wilmington NC $4500. All of them were situations that they REALLY needed a truck and I took advantage of it. That would be the only way I'll ever do another load for them. #### e'm!
And I always thought fourm staff were all in the back room playing cards and drinking wine coolers. On a serious note, Thanks @bullhaulerswife and other forum staff for watching out for us. It helps to see they cant hide behind the internet.
I remember that company. Haven't seen their trucks in a few years but the best I can recall is they had maroon Volvos with reefer trailers. I have wondered the same thing if there was any connection between them and the TQL brokerage. I tried to google the actual asset based trucking company Total Quality Logistics but came up with nothing. Maybe they got bought out and merged into another company?
I got a good story for you. TQL found a broker online that had one of my shippers posted. Guess what, TQL called up the shipper and basically stole my shipper from me and from that broker. So being that I haven't done any business with TQL in years, I called them up and asked if I could move one of there shipments from my former customer. Long story short, TQL black listed me for giving them a bad review online by the internet truck stop. True. Well it turns out the my shipper dropped TQL. Why? TQL made a promise that it could move more trucks with a lower cost to the shipper. Get this, The shipments the shipper was moving was paying close to $900 for less than 300 miles. TQL was trying to get trucks to move them for $400 Well it wasn't long before the shipper dropped TQL because they couldn't get the shipments moved. TQL not only stole one of my shippers, but also refused to do business with me for writing a negative but true review on the internet truck stop. Well now I got my shipper back and I got lots of freight to move that has been sitting around.
TQL is good for one thing tho. Waking a guy up at 6 am, with that load, and making his blood rush that he's up and alert sweating sugar.
you are probably remembering total control logistics out of holland,mi they had a big circle logo on the trailers TCL
Does any legit members here have any positive dealings with TQL? I'm wondering after all the bad on here about them if its even worth the time to get setup with them.
