I absolutely will not drive with a driver facing camera. You will be micromanaged to death. In a critical event or accident, no matter what you do, some "expert" will pick you apart.

One of the biggest issues in the work place is people won't stand up for themselves and they let the company walk all over them. Employees need to demand respect and give what they get.

There is no benefit to the driver to have a camera pointed at them.

We are a attention deficit society on the verge of 6 different apps running on your phone, multi tasking, being on the phone, ordering mom flowers, checking your stocks and emails and Facebook.....

I see many of you texting away with 80k on your back and shake my head.

I have always thought about that. You read so many posts on Internet forums on various topics of people making stupid choices yet not one person on the forum is ever that person, lol.

Not having a "Stupidvisor" looking over my sholder all day is part of the 'appeal' of this job. Why in God's name would I stick around if you took that away from me?
I have left companies because I caught them babysitting me via QualComm...I'll be darned if I let them stare at me all day on a computer screen to see if my hands are at ten and two at all times.
Let me do my job...and leave me the hell alone. YOU find me the load, and I move it. As long as that gets done, ni need for babysitting.

...or just go work for one of the hundreds of thousands of carriers that do not and will not insist they have a right to monitor you 24/7, driving or not, recording your private phone calls and conversations?

Will the office personnel be expected to install cameras in their bedrooms at home so we can make sure they are well rested for work? It's not a legal requirement, but neither is a camera in my truck.

I'm sure the camera issue is doing wonders for turnover.

Anyone want to bet that recruiters are getting bonuses for every time they bring someone in while keeping that little detail secret?
