LOL. The funny thing is...Why hire a driver if u do not trust that driver or individual and the decisions that they make? That is what "boggles" my mind the most. Be safe out there drivers.
If the benefits outweigh the costs rest assured they will happen. I can see the value to them from a safety asPect, helps to identify unsafe behaviors. My concerns are the start up fee, monthly access fee, and potential turn over
Totally agree. The roadway facing cameras and Qualcomm already will give a clear picture of what transpires during an incident. But to add a driver facing camera only breeds an atmosphere of distrust, resentment, and unnecessary added stress to an already stressful job. The cabin should be the driver's inner sanctum. Its the one place where he should feel secure, but now, he feels like an animal at the zoo. Somebody is always watching. Drivers already go through hoops to get hired, stay employed, are regulated by everyone, let them have their space!
I wonder to are they going to gig a person if their eyes aren't moving around, or the head turning and looking enough, and then who determines what the standard is on that.
as meltom said, it seems like a plus plus for the company, lower insurance rates, better quality drivers who cares about the drivers and their privacy? as you can see, some of them are licking it up already
It's a privilege to drive a cmv, so you have no right to privacy at all. Nice.........................
