Western PA, I’m a bit confused as to why it matters though? All three of the companies I listed are hiring in my area. If you want to suggest other companies I had a previous thread where I asked for suggestions and from those suggestions these are the ones I like the most.
Maybe that's how many miles the truck rolls, but the percentage is based on revenue miles. Deduct 100 here for deadheading, another 50 there, the next thing you know, it's 1,800 miles. At $2.00 line haul, that's $900 per week. Just something to keep in mind.
i always looked at it like, that inside is where i HAD to live when away from home. i need not be living like a pig nor a first time college student in a dorm, with crap all over the place. one employer i had, they paid for truck washes weekly, then twice per month, then once per month, then they went out of business..... back then, we had a contract to "fly the colors" of the dedicated customer we had which means, (they painted our trucks to thier colors) .....now both are gone.!!
Yah that’s true. My thing is though for Halvor they have bonuses based on miles, would these bonuses apply for % rate guys or just mileage guys? I would assume both. But I have to ask Halvor since I can’t seem to find a driver for them. I can understand wanting to keep the trucks clean on outside but to paint the trucks the colors their customers wanted is just stupid.
Why Havlor? I am going to ask next time I talk to my recruiter there. I am thinking they are. But gotta make sure.
Industry leading pay ($1.10 – $1.20 per mile plus fuel surcharge) I copied this from their O/O page..... If that is what they are offering O/O's.....?????? Plus, their list of schools they hire from, according to their site, I didn't see one listed in western PA....though not sure if that really matters.
