You sure took up for the o.p & I'm sure we won't ever know the full story but I have seen A Lot of drivers that needed a ticket for not slowing down or moving over. For the most part law enforcement seem lenient on this.
Can a move over law affect CDL?

Sometimes they’re bad drivers, and sometimes they’re also law-enforcement who are having a bad day or on a serious power trip. Or a combination of the two.starmac Thanks this. -
Distracted driving is terrible today with automatic trucks & all the electronics- cell phones , tablets etc.
-
It all boils down to driving that rig like it needs to be & that includes paying attention.
-
It’s changing world, you have to learn to change/adapt with it.How are these companies are going on automatic to save fuel(moot point with 44,000 pounds of frozen meat in the back but it’s their money).
Plus with all these electronics at their required because the feds required them(ELDs).
But that is another story. -
Same law been into effect for years people still don't move over then whine when caught.

A couple of years ago I rounded a curve with a set of long double loaded tankers and a trooper had a car pulled over in a bad spot to even slow down much. I was meeting traffic, so moving over a lane was not an option. I did crowd them as much as possible, but still blew his trooper hat off, which I always wanted to do anyway. lolHoneyBadger67 Thanks this. -
Except the OP clearly stated he TRIED to move over l,even reducing speed as necessary to do so.
-
You believe what's stated ??? Most of the time when they are cited they only give part of the story trying to get the poor me support.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
