If it's not on your mvr, don't worry about it. You'll be fine

This is one of the things that auses a lot of trouble and headache for new drivers and why so many stumble out of the gate....
There are countless of post whefe a new driver asks if a prospective companh could find this or that out.. then there are countless more responses telling them not to disclose the information and not to worry they will be fine..

Then come the posts where they got sent home from orientation and are in a desperate situation as theh spent all their savings getting supplies, to orientation and now are broke, gonna lose their house and their spouse is leavi g them cause of it all...
Which is followed by responses about what a scumbag company it is and so forth..

Seriously.. this drama plays out over and over on this forum and others...

Whenever YOU make a conscious choice to not be honest on an application you are taking a risk that the company will find out and now not want to hire you... often not because of what you hide.. but because of your being dishonest..

Do you really want to start your new career that way...

The thing is... as a new driver this will be the easiest to get on with companies... after you get experience they vo back 10 years instead of only 3 years like for new drivers.. they are more forgiving for new drivers.. allowing things that they do t for experienced drivers... which trips up a lot of rookie drivers who did hide something from their first company and it was not discovered... until they quit that company after a few months and went to a 'better' company onlh to be sent away after what they successfully hide the first time was found... so they try to go back to company one which now wont take them back...

So with no job and plenty of time they spill out their heart and woes all of the forums.. even warn others what the scumbag company...

If I were you.. I would just be honest.. then you dont have to worry about it...

I would say just be honest.

I had an at-fault accident a few months before I went for my CDL. Nobody was hurt. The cops made a report, but I wasn't given a ticket and the accident never showed up on my MVR. Still told Prime about it when I applied. They never said anything about it. I'm still here 6 months later.

If the accident was as minor as you say it was, then you probably have nothing to worry about. I would still report it just for peace of mind. I've heard stories of new drivers managing to hide an accident during the hiring process, only for the company to come back months later and let them go due to falsification of information.

This is the reason why about a year and a half ago i had a fender bender (totally my fault) and i just gave the guy a couple hundred cash. I had insurance and everything but didnt want to risk it going on my record because at the time the idea of driving for a living was floating in my head.

I've hit all kinds of things. Insurance takes care of it. Never shows up on my MVR.
