If you like to run the North East corridor then they will love you as most drivers that are not from around here hate it. I ran it a lot being from Jersey when I was there.

It's not that I really want to stay in NY/NJ,I would love to go everywhere else.Just wondering about getting in and out of the northeast for home time.
Is the money any better by staying in the northeast?

Im from jersey and the freight up here is really good. My time otr i was home almost every weekend cause they kept me around here. A lot of guys not from here dont like the area cause of traffic, the people (we have our ways that might seem a little harsh), ect. Im dedicated now outta owens corning in kearny, nj, but there are many places we load of outta here, lafarge in buchanan,ny nucor in wallingford, ct the lowes dc in westfield, ma to name a couple and loads headed this way pay real good. If your gonna run the ne, take %, out west you might wanna do mileage.

Also with the small towns n cities, you will learn very quickly how to drive your truck, esp. turning. Downtown in dsm was cake compare to some places up here.

Yeah freight going into the NE pays really good. I use to live in NC and I would be up in the NE every week usually for Monday morning with a nice load of plywood and those kinds of products out of the Carolina's. You should be home almost every weekend up there. I would not be to worried about it. Also yes take % not Mileage.

I never sat more than a few hours, but also started driving this year. I guess a few years ago when the ecomony really sucked i could see waiting.
