It depends on the load and level ground I believe. I have a 5000lb part right on top of it and it is fine. I notice if it is loaded only closer to the front it is closer.

When you load a heavy load all in the middle of your trailer you are taking the arch out of the deck. As the deck flattens the front of your box is dropping more than the rear. This is pushing the bottom rear corner of the box backwards causing it to hit your tires. When your boxes were mounted the trailer was unloaded and the installer didn't leave enough clearance.
If you take that same 48K load and spread it out the deck will flatten out less because the load is distributed instead of ficus in the center. You won't have clearance issues then.
The cheapest way to fix your problem is either move the box forward 2-3 inches or take them off.
Don't waste a stupid amount of money on all new tires to fix this.
If the bolts are as seized as you said they were then either find a fire wrench or the highest power impact driver you can and break the bolts.4mer trucker, cke, CharlieK and 5 others Thank this. -
