Not sure if serious or not. I most certainly am not treated as a company driver. But meh, to each their own.

Ummm... OP from way back was a company driver, not an IC.

Yes... and I've been both a company driver and an IC with Sni and there is a big difference regardless of what anyone says

I don't even understand how breakdown and tah conversation would even start applying to IC's here. What exactly would be the complaint?

"Man, I booked my loads and they end in CA and I live in VA. My ICA said that's not my house so I can't teleport the truck to VA for the weekend".. Sounds stupid because it's the only argument I could come up with.

Breakdown? So... "HEY, the truck I'm leasing/own broke down and Schneider won't pay me for it"...

Uhuh. Let's continue this line of thought.

I get sick and tired of the "IC's are glorified company drivers" BS. A good IC should be making nearly double what a company driver makes after expenses. You go home when you want, you go where you want. How exactly is that anything remotely close to company drivers? Makes no sense.

To be fair, a lot of IC's at other companies don't go where they want. At all. So perhaps the confusion is there?

Yeah, sni company vs sni IC isn't even remotely similar. Sure, we pull the same trailers and deal with the same customers, but except for that? Not so much.

I do get free tires though. And free fuel. And I work for free sometimes.

When I'm assigned an empty move they want me to do before I go home, I have to do their required training, I have to follow their company policies I don't see much Independence as a supposed Independent Contractor.

With that said I'm still here because as of now I'm willing to play by their rules because it meets my objectives.

It does not mean I don't recognize the truth.

You're running under their authority and using their trailers. Do you expect no rules at all?
