Well thats why we asked what he did or not. But, he hasn't answered so im guessing he is guilty.

 

Did he...I just re read and didnt see him tell us what he did, did I miss it?

 

That is the sad truth. If he's not in jail, we can either support him...he could work a job interacting with people, or be a trucker on his own where he wont have as much opertoonity to commit sex related crime.

For every one that keeps saying his offense could have been something simple, no big deal.....That may be true, but if it was he probably would have given us details by now. His silence shows guilt to me.

 

exactly...by keeping silent ,,to me he's saying you REALLY don't want to know....simply because he knows the reaction he'll be getting....

 

I'm not one to say guilty till proven innocent, but he has had the chance to even say he's innocent and hasn't.

 

I agree that everyone needs to work. But a Rapist, Child Molestor, or Pediphile should not be allowed to move state to state unchecked. Truck drivers have too many oppertunities to reoffend!

I dont think its a matter of guilty till proven innocent...he said he was a sex offender. When asked to clarify he refused. As a rule the simple offenders tend to be real quick to explain...but offenders of the harsher crimes flat out say its none of your business.

 

It's a sad truth- KW is not far off when stated " once a molester always a molester." Pedophilia is a sexual attraction not a specific sex but a body type- smooth skin, prepubescent, hairless, undeveloped sexual characteristics (breasts, pubic hair etc) & their victims can be both male & female & usually are. Pedophilia is a sexual orientation the same as being hetero or gay- it is who you find sexually exciting and is fixed for life ( and if anyone wants to argue that point ask yourself if you can switch! ) For every one victim there are usually 50 to over 150+ victims that are not discovered or prosecuted over the offenders life time. Counseling and testosterone blocking meds like Depopraviera and lifetime probation, mandatory yearly polygraphs for released offenders help but they are no cure- they are only controls. The only real way to stop them is talking to and paying attention to your children and being aware.
If, and the op never said, he got a job and probably never returned to this thread, was "cooling a brake" and little johnny or janie passing by with mom and saw and said something or it was a romeo juliet situation- things happen and they are regretable and in most cases a company can get specifics about a applicant's case- if they so desire.
Laws like Maggen's law and others are there to help us protect our children and we should be thankful that it isn't any longer the "family secrect" as it used to be when grandpa or a sibling or a parent or uncle subjects a child to trauma that never heals and children are listened to and believed! I only wish there had been this kind of open discussion and the unwillingness, like KW showed, to not ignore or turn a blind eye too, when I was a young girl- I wouldn't have had to learn what I've learned about these people the way I did.
