I recently spent several days at a large construction site
My duties included directing the incoming dump trucks where to dump

I’d hop up on the tank and ask the driver what load he had , topsoil , crusher run or rip rap ?
And then tell him where it needed to go

about half the drivers were apparently smoking weed .
I could smell it as soon as they rolled down the window before I even stepped up to talk to them .

one truck had a audible air leak from a brake chamber , a flat tire , and one tail light was dangling by the wires , and a strong odor of weed .
That driver likes living dangerously I guess ,plus his truck was a rusted out former plow truck from up north without the remote gate release , he’d have to hop out and walk back and open the gate , dump , and then get out and latch the gate back .
