Op didn't say how long he's been waiting. If not very long I say give it some more time.Problem with all these students that has to wait weeks is too scared to take england to court.I don't think the contract says students may have to wait weeks for a trainer.
Why the f should he have to wait a week in motel for a trainer. That's straight up bs , I wouldn't put up with it either.
One driver posted, about 3 weeks or so ago, he had been waiting over 3 weeks. He said all the companies he called rejected him. We told him to quit calling and submit online applications. Within a few hours he had a job and was trying to arrange a bus to get to orientation. Some companies on Craigslist don't care about those contracts either.
I'm going to approach this from the legal side. You have a contract agreeing to drive for 12 months so, by not driving for 12 months you will be breaching the contract. I recently helped another driver with this, he went with Swift, but they required him to go through the full School process again with them. They would not pay anything towards his CR England schooling because they provided their own that they charged him for. He ended up getting a bill from CR England for just under $6,000. cre charged him for the school, and $200 a month for breaking the contract early. Just keep in mind if you switch to another company you are responsible for that bill. CR England is known for filing a lawsuit against you for it as well.
I thought CR England contract is for 6 mos. There's a 7 year rule on debt also. Ignore it for 7 years by not signing for any mail or paying even one penny. After 7 years you're debt free from that particular debt. If during that 7 years you pay even one penny toward the debt of sign for any mail from the collection agency, the 7 years starts over again. If the rules/laws have changed, let me know. We've been through this a few times on here in the past.
I think it’s 7 years and then a debtor can sue you. If you have sent them money, any amount, and the agency that owns the debt accepts it, that 7 year period resets.
If the debtor chooses not to sue you, most will not, then my understanding is the debt drops. The attorneys that buy debts, yeah they will sue, so if that is what it is—work with them.
You're not really paying the debt; the collection agency already paid the debt by buying it for pennies on the dollar. The collection agency makes their money by collecting the full amount plus interest from the person that originally owed the money. They do things such as, if you die, they find out who your graduation classmates are, then try to con them into paying the debt, "In honor and memory of you." Some actually fall for it and send money because it gives them a warm & fuzzy feeling.
Call your manager at CRE & tell him while you're doing all this waiting, you're over at his house pumpin' his ol' lady & his daughter. You wont need to get outta the contract, he'll do it for you. You need to think outside the box a little.
They won’t sue for small amounts usually like if an agency buys a 300 dollar unpaid cell phone bill. They just descend upon you with letters and phone calls. For a cre training bill, it would be worth dragging you into court and get a wage garnish order.
