Can I get into trucking while on a misdemeanor probation?

The misdemeanor part isn't an issue it's the probation that they set as rules are set by the probation, your lawyer should have told you and your PO depending on the situation you may not be able to leave the state till its up if that's what set in probation you absolutely should never break it or will get worse. I have had my share of troubles but everything I had fortunately got dismissed.

 

Asking people here is pointless. The ONLY person who can answer that is the probation officer you are assigned to. If you ignore his rules, you WILL end up in prison. Also, with a 'stalking' conviction, I SERIOUSLY doubt that he/she would allow you to work a job where you are often well outside of your home area, and therefore unable to be under surveillance. Perhaps with an ankle monitor (which you will have to pay for) it might be possible? Most likely, you will need to prove to the court that you can stay out of trouble for at least a couple of years.

 

Other drivers are running 48 states in trucking and only have to call the probation officer every so often.
The probation officer is the one to talk to.

 

One thing I've seen on here for years, is truck drivers don't take their own advice. They drive trucks and tell others not to. My advice to those wanting to enter the trucking field, is when someone tells you to not drive trucks, is to ask "If it's so bad, then why are you doing it?"
The "pat answer" is, "Oh, I'm looking, believe me, I have a plan!"
Ten years later, you see that person in a truck stop and they say, "Yeah, this job sucks, I have something going, so I'll hand in the keys soon and tell the trucking company to stuff it!"

I personally have invested too much into trucking to walk away atm if I was offered a better pay say oil field non cdl I definitely would consider it. Oil field in general is good pay and long hours. I have told my nephew do not get into trucking put your talents elsewhere do what your father does or something else preferably something with high pay in mind. He took my advice and has been extended a full scholarship to Stanford area of field he is studying in high school is law on that note apparently they also have a flight school program with the high school. I certainly didn't have any of those classes offered in my high school...

I had a real good career in trucking. It was not easy sure it had ups and downs, more ups and downs, but they treated me very well. The pharmaceutical companies are probably the hardest job to find in trucking. There is one pharmaceutical company that I would refuse to drive for.
