    I'll second that motion.

Nevada would offer a much better trucking gig. :occasion5:

Seems ridiculous or I'm missing something, if you can drive intrastate with a medical condition you should be able drive interstate can't be about distance some locations in Cali are father than places out of the state plus i don't get you can't touch any freight leaving the state or coming in that leaves hardly any jobs you can get. Port side you sound like a sailor or marine

You really need to find out exactly why you were disqualified from puling interstate loads.
And that's all this is, pulling interstate loads vs. intrastate loads. You need to learn the difference.

In a nutshell you can touch stuff that comes in from out of the state. It's the load that matters, not the product.
For example you can go work for Amazon running loads between DC's in state and the load never leaves the state. You can also work at any companies DC's, for example Home Depot, and deliver to the stores, as the load never leaves the state.
Then there are the 1,000's of construction and agricultural jobs. There is plenty you can do if you are willing to step outside your comfort zone a tiny bit and look around.

It’s a state regulation verses a federal regulation

as long as you never leave the state , the fed gov regulations usually don’t apply .

and it doesn’t matter about the type of cargo or where it’s ultimately going or came from.

it’s YOU that can’t leave the state in a commercial vehicle .

This is wrong. It's the load that matters, not the driver. For example if a container comes in from the port, or a rail yard from out of state it's an interstate load.

Nope can't do that Its written in the regulation book they gave me the rule and reg number, it's impossible to not know why you have a restriction on your CDL because they notify you when they do it, you the driver are the first to know, if you have a restriction on your CDL limiting you to Ca you cannot be hired by any company that picks up or deliver loads out of state the companies themselves will tell you that ,call them ask them

This is what the reg states every Recruiter out there is aware of it and will not talk to you till you remove the restriction
    Non-Excepted Intrastate (NA)
You operate or expect to operate a CMV in intrastate commerce and you meet the qualification requirements under Title 49, CFR, part 391. The cargo and passengers must originate and end in California. While driving commercially you may not cross state or international borders.

If you self-certify as operating NA, your CDL card and driver record will reflect a CDL Intrastate Only restriction (40/K).

    Key words originate and end!!

That's talking about the load itself, not the products in the load. Like I said, from a DC to a store is a 100% intrastate load.
I mean, if you want to keep hobbling yourself go ahead, I'm not going to stop you. If you want a job though, you might want to find out what is and isn't intrastate.
