From the Medical Examination Report For Commercial Driver Fitness Determination: I certify under penalty of perjury . . . that the foregoing is true and correct. [the foregoing is where you--not your doctor--complete a health history] I understand that innacurate, false or missing information may invalidate the examination and my Medical Examiner's Certification.

So, yeah, you can lie on your physical. And you will get caught and you will get your butt shredded for doing so. The moral issue aside, is it worth it?

the sad truth to it is that so many think that trucking is going to save them from unemployment, current hardships and make them earn lots of money and not have to work for it. there will be those that will most certainly circumvent the laws and the DOT physical. we can only hope the o/p has "listened" to the few comments here, and will move onto another career choice. but if the o/p has decided to not listen and is waiting for someone to tell him what he wants to hear, he will soon enough come upon such a person.

i think however, he will lie and get away with this...because in his mind, "what's he got to lose"..compared to his life/job situation now...??? if he decides to go ahead with his plans, we can only hope he get's "caught" in a lie and from there get's "DAC'd"....making another job in trucking next to impossible. so for his sake, i certainly do hope he "listened"....

Anytime you lie on any official DOT document, including physicals and driving logs, you set yourself up for legal doomsday. If you are in an accident and it is found out that you shouldn't be in that truck at that particular place your company will throw you under the bus and you are toast. Why drivers do this to their CDL is pure 100% #######.

When I read the thread title, I thought he meant something like he wanted to lie on a urine test or eye or hearing test. I was getting ready to wish him luck and let me know how it turned out.
