A driver with sleep apnea is no more of a liability than a driver who has a heart condition or a missing limb. If the driver is managing the illnes or condition, a company cannot deny them employment basd on that fact alone, this all falls under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
can I lie on a dot physical?

The anti-anxiety meds I could kind of deal with, but 'anti-seizure' and operating any kind of machinery, be it a pallet jack or a commerical vehicle don't really go totgether.

This is an old post and I have not read all the replies but here is my thoughts.
You can lie on anything but in so doing you transfer the liability to yourself. If you are in an accident and have lied anywhere, then no matter what happened, you are at fault.
Why take the risk?n3ss Thanks this. -

I was thinking about this thread early this morning. There is more then one medical condition that will disqualify you. Out of control diabetes, serious heart problems, vision or hearing problems and loss of limbs. My thoughts on this is why put your wellbeing and the publics safety at risk by being dishonest? Your not qualified to drive with out of control diabetes. However you need to get diabetes under control for your health. This condition can blind you. I think you should be scrupulously honest with any health provider when it comes to your health. Eat right and get as much exercise as you can. Telling a DOT ME a lie just to stay qualified to drive puts your health at risk. Telling a lie about any drug use either prescription or illegal can put the public at risk from your actions depending on the drug. This industry is dangerous enough with the huge amount of inexperienced drivers on the road. So while the chances a squad of cops will arrest you for telling a lie is very remote, I believe its a stupid thing to do especially given that some of these things can harm you even kill you if left untreated.
