machine or manual cuff? My machine reading was like 150/99 or something like that. I requested the cuff and got a 123/84 documented on my paperwork. I swear the med tech had no idea what she was doing I think she just made something up to get me out of that chair haha

here's the problem...you could (or can) lie on the DOT form.

however, if you get into an accident, and it is found that you have any medical condition, you very well may not only be fired, but sued by the other people. the lawyer will get YOU on falsifying a federal document.

once you sign any form, it becomes a legal piece of paper (also known as a document) , that can and will hang you out to dry.

now, say you do not have an accident, but say you pass out, and you get taken to the hospital, and they run all sorts of blood tests on you, and discover your diabetes....

    what will you do then.??

in the end, you had already said.....

so i really do not believe that you will do this the right way.

and once a liar, always a liar.......someday, you WILL get caught, and most likely fired for falsifying federal documents.

You can be misleading and act indifferent to what the doctor thinks is wrong with you. Most physicals only need to know the basics. You dont need to elaborate on your driving health. Remember. Your applying for a job, not applying for disability. Be too forthright about your health and you will scare perspective jobs away.

I appreciate your reply but disagree. On my absolute best day I’m 140/90 easily. The fact that in one moment I was registering 150/99 and less than two minutes later I was recorded at a near normal level tells me one of three things; either ALL electronic blood pressure machines are horribly inaccurate, the manual cuff is horribly inaccurate, or the 20 year old with 8 months of training didn’t entirely know what she was doing. Which is most likely???

Just keep more weight on your right hand so when you pass out you go to the ditch.

Let me be clear with you. I hope you don't get the job, even if you are hopeful. We don't need more folks like yourself on the road making it more dangerous for everybody. Do you want your family driving along on a road with someone with HBP, untreated sleep apnea and type 2 diabetes with it's problems? "You'll take your chances" on everybody's lives you share the road with.

Get a job as a security guard. Sounds like you fit the part of the ones I deal with every day.

Thousands of truckers have Type II diabetes. It's not disqualifying.
The big problem is they only get a 12 mos. DOT medical card.
