Got a chance to get into a great CC CDL program that already had it's orientation. Spoke with the instructor and if I get the following done by Wednesday I am in. Questions below for each listed item.

    1. CDL learners permit. (I am brand new. I've taken a few practice tests and usually score 75% or so. Got some work to do to pass. I plan to cram all weekend and each evening. Anyone think I can pass in that short a time period? Would like to test this Monday.
    2. DOT physical. (what doctors's do I go to?)
    3. Copy of medical card. (I assume from physical. Where do I get a copy of the actual medical card?)
    4. Copy of driving record. (no problem there)
    5. Enroll in the actual college (done)
    6. drivers license, SS card
    7. Take drug test at orientation. (no issues there)

Can I study for five days and pass this test? What sections should I study specifically? CDL-A permit.
Where do I get the medical card from? The doctor who does the exam?

I am picking the community college course as it is 8 weeks long, five days per week and 12 hours per day and very highly rated. Not some gimmick school designed to just get your a CDL. I would like to actually learn this stuff. So I am taking the longer route, but much more thorough.

Thank you brothers and sisters for the help!

Some states let you retake the test the same day after showing you the wrong answers if you want to spend many hours at the dmv.

But what practice tests and what sections do I study? I don't need all the sections there.

    You rang?

    TEASING... a play on words.

Study and watch you tube videos particularly about braking systems. If that is involved in your permit tests you need to know something about them.

I sat at the DMV and read a section of the book twice and then went in and took the test on that section. Took me all day but when I was done I had a learners permit with full endorsements with never seeing the inside of a truck yet. You can do it. Good luck.

most important, do not rush. The wording of the questions can be a bit tricky.
