When you take the tests, most states do them on computers. When taking the tests, you should have the option to skip questions that you are not sure of the answer. So, if you have a question where you have the answer narrowed down to two possibilities, you still want to skip that question, as you have a 50/50 chance of guessing the right answer. But if you know the answer, then you have a 100% chance of getting the correct answer. So the more questions you answer that you are sure of, the higher your score will be.
Some of those skipped questions can come up again if you don’t get enough correct answers to finish the test. If you skip one or two questions, and then get 20 answered correctly, the skipped question may not come up.
I dont think the practice tests give you the option to skip a questi9n.

I figure if I do 100 plus practice tests by Monday, I ought to have covered ever possible questions and score fairly well.tscottme Thanks this. -
Don't worry about getting any endorsements right now. Study for general knowledge, combination and air brakes. Not that hard and some of it is common sense.
Get your physical done. You can do a search and find a doc here:
National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners Search
Stay away from Concentra when you pick a doc. You will get a long form and a card. Take them with you when you get you permit so they can register the physical with your permit.
Good luck.Dan.S, Lepton1 and darinmac38 Thank this. -
Just retook the hazmat. Had two questions ask the same thing, just worded different. Happened twice on the test. Someone didn't design the test bank very well. (ie, if you ask question 18 from the test bank, then don't ask 17 or 19.)

Study? I walked into DMV to get the booklet to study. Figured what the heck. I’m here. Why not look at the test? I walked out with my permit and a few endorsements.
Now hazmat is a different story. You’ll have to study for that.Chinatown Thanks this. -
I read some of the chapters and then got up the next morning and read the rest. While it was fresh on my mind I went to the DMV and took the test and passed on the first time. It can be done you just have to be dedicated enough to do it.

The tests here are useful but general for all states. The is a website that offers state specific tests which include the trick ones.
Find a chiro for the dot phys.
If you look at the endorsement tests they are pretty easy and obvious, add tanker and doubles in a couple extra minutes.
That school sounds long, get all the driving time you can.
