Six months of driving is six months of driving. Unless you feel that sleeping in a bunk in a truck stop (instead of home in your own bed) gives you some sort of mad driving skills that local drivers don't have. If you want to go local, go local. But whatever you do get your license on your own. Signing a 6 month or year contract with a large company in exchange for training can very often turn out to feel like you're signed on for a 6 month or year tour of duty in h e double hockey sticks.
